PhNetLoad  and NetMon v 0.4.0

Packages

10/02/03 - Version 0.4.0 of NetMon and PhNetLoad released

  • Version 0.4.0 of NetMon and PhNetLoad are  now available in a single package. Please uninstall/remove previous packages  (or  /usr/photon/bin/PhNetLoad and /usr/photon/dll/shelf/netmon.so - if installed manually) after removing NetMon from the shelf !

  •    NetMon is a QNX shelf (tray) visual network monitoring tool, it lights on to show network  activity. It may be configured for all network interfaces supported by the system,  and can can  be loaded in multiple instances, e.g. for each card once. If you enter a non-existant card in the configuration menu, it will reset to "en0". By clicking on it *once* it will start PhNetLoad (if installed), or a hint for downloading it will show up. NetMon is now packaged together with PhNetLoad, to provide an easier installation, and both programs joined the new QSS 3'd party CD.

After installing the package, right-click on the shelf, and add netmon plugin "before" the clock one.

  •   PhNetLoad is a graphical network monitoring tool, it shows upload/download traffic with 2 different colors, and reports statistics for the chosen interface (ethernet card).

  New Features in PhNetLoad:
  • Customizable Interface, "enx".
  • OnTop option (always visible).
  • Options will load/discard for each instance.
  • Customizable Speed rates, none defaults to "Automatic", it will autoscale up/downwards.
  • Changes in the "About" option.
  • Copy and paste from the Nicinfo window.
  • Shows Hostname in the window title.
